International Experience

A majority of our attorneys have lived in a foreign country and speak a second language, including Danish, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Malagasy, Mandarin Chinese, Mongolian, Portuguese, Russian, Sign Language (SEE), Spanish, and Swedish.

Durham Jones and Pinegar is a member of the prestigious International Business Law Consortium (IBLC), an association of top-tier law firms from many countries. The IBLC brings together over 100 independent law firms, tax advisers, and business consultancies. These firms have more than 1,500 professionals with both general and specialised expertise. Members of IBLC have superb knowledge of local laws and customs and have an excellent command of the English language. IBLC provides our clients with access to high-quality legal representation throughout the world.

DJP attorneys have represented clients with interests in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Australia. Kevin Pinegar, one of our founding attorneys, completed post-graduate study at McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific European Law Program, Salzburg, Austria, receiving a diploma in Advanced International Legal Studies in 1983. He served for many years as an officer and director of the World Trade Association of Utah. He is a member of the International Bar Section of the Utah State Bar. Mr. Pinegar has published numerous articles on topics of international law. Mr. Durham and Mr. Pinegar have served on seminar panels in Utah and abroad on topics of international law.
